Touch a Truck returns to the Coastal Children’s Museum on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A fire engine and ambulance from the Rockland Fire Department will be on display in front of the museum for children to discover. Last year children and their families had a ton of fun exploring all the nooks and crannies of these great community service vehicles and thanks to Fire Chief Charlie Jordan children can experience that fun again.

The Coastal Children’s Museum is located in the South End of Rockland at 75 Mechanic St. in the Sharp’s Point South campus. They are dedicated to their mission of providing children and families the opportunity to explore, discover and learn through play. They are open Wednesdays to Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 4 p.m. Information on available memberships and more upcoming events can be found on their website coastalchildrensmuseum.org or by phoning the office at 596-0300.
