The Friends of the Thomaston Public Library continues its series of films in Room 208 of the Thomaston Academy Building, 60 Main St./Route 1. The Friday night movies for September are films about food. The next film in this Five Course Meal series will be “Ratatouille” Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m.

In one of Paris’ finest restaurants, Remy, a determined young rat, dreams of becoming a renowned French chef. Torn between his family’s wishes and his true calling, Remy and his pal Linguini set in motion a hilarious chain of events that turns the City of Lights upside down.

Pixar’s “Ratatouille” is 111 minutes long, was filmed in 2007 and is rated G. This month’s series will conclude with “Chocolat” Sept. 30. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. The building is handicapped accessible via the elevator off the parking lot. For more information, call the library at 354-2453.
