The second annual statewide, juried “ArtinMe.” exhibition will be open to the public on Oct. 1 to run through Nov. 19. The call is out for a fresh and selective look at the art being done by Maine artists today, showing originality and skill in all painting, drawing and sculpture media. There will be more than $700 in prizes awarded.

The show will be juried by seeing the actual pieces of art, not a small digital file or slide. Artists may submit up to two pieces to be considered by this year’s exceptional judges, Lois Dodd, Nancy Wissemann-Widrig and John Wissemann. submissions may be dropped off Tuesday, Sept. 27 between noon and 7 p.m.; or Wednesday, Sept. 28 between 9 a.m. and noon. Drop-off is at the Boothbay Region Art Foundation gallery, 1 Townsend Ave., in the center of town and diagonally across the street from the Memorial Library. For the registration form and jurors’ bios, visit boothbayartists.org.

The show’s main sponsors are the Knickerbocker Group, Sherman’s Books and Stationery and John Edwards Jewelry & Designs. For more information, call 633-2703.
