Laite Beach Park on Bayview Street in Camden is closed for construction through Oct. 15. Several improvements will be made to the infrastructure of the park including:

1. Re-grading and paving of the roadway

2. Addition of a handicap parking space and picnic area

3. Repaving of the walkway to the beach

4. Rebuilding of the sea wall

5. Rebuilding of the stairway to the beach

6. Reconfiguration and replacement of the storm water drainage system

The entire park and beach will be closed to the public during this project. Other waterfront parks in Camden that will remain open this fall include Harbor Park at the head of the harbor, Barrett’s Cove Park on Lake Megunticook, Hodson Park on the Megunticook River, Shirt Tail Point on the Megunticook River, and the Multi-Use Pond Access on Hosmer Pond at the Ragged Mountain Recreation Area.
