This fall, designer/ goldsmith Patty Bolz is offering an eight-week course in jewelry making for beginner and intermediate students. The course will provide the opportunity for students to design and create unique pieces of jewelry in a small informal setting, and will focus on basic fabrication skills, applying textural elements, stone setting, mechanics, and chain making. In addition, wax carving will be introduced for interested students.

Patty has worked as a goldsmith and jewelry designer for more than 30 years, exhibiting her work years at juried shows and in galleries throughout the country. In addition, her jewelry has been featured in numerous books and publications over the years.

Classes for the fall session will take place on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 9 p.m., starting the night of October 4, and will be limited to 4 students. It is not necessary to have taken a jewelry course previously in order to enroll in this session’s classes. Beginners are welcome. For information, call or email; 236-3412;
