The Adult Learning Center is now available even more hours. Mondays through Fridays it is now open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Learning Center is available for GED tutoring, College Transitions program support and tutoring, and English as a Second Language tutoring. All tutoring is on a one-to-one basis and students can drop in any time the Learning Center is open. Students can progress at their own pace, and work on any subject they need help with. Skills books are available in the Learning Center and there are several computers for student use. There is no fee for any Learning Center tutoring.

The Learning Center is located in downtown Camden in the Superintendent’s Office on Lions Lane, just off Knowlton Street near the Camden-Rockport Middle School, in the building known as the Bus Barn. For more information, call Five Town CSD Adult Ed at 236-7800, option 5.

College Transitions program

The Five Towns CSD Adult Education Program has a college transitions program to help people break on through to higher education.

The program is designed for anyone who holds a high school diploma or GED and wishes to begin preparations for college.

Counseling, mentoring and support services are all provided free of charge to enable students to transition successfully to college and earn a degree.
