Two new videos have recently been posted on the Megunticook Watershed Association’s website.

One shows a bald eagle swoop down and snatch a fish from the surface of the lake. Near the very end of this 20-second video, notice in the upper left hand corner a second eagle approaching. For most of the summer there have been three eagles in the watershed – two nearly mature and one juvenile, according to Ken Bailey, Megunticook’s Lake Warden.

The second video, which is a little more than three minutes, was filmed earlier this summer as a project for Maine Media Workshops. It’s an interview with Bailey on lake quality and personal reflections concerning the importance of protecting the waters.

The second video was filmed, edited and directed by Stephen Underwood and Christopher Nagel.
