St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church joins other Episcopal churches in Maine in holding special services on Sunday, Sept. 11, the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington D.C., and the downed plane in western Pennsylvania.

There will be a special service of remembrance and hope at the 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. services of Holy Eucharist on Sunday morning and at the 5 p.m. Vesper Communion Service that afternoon.

There will be special prayers, and music for the occasion and the church bells will be tolled at 8:46 and 9:02 a.m. when the first two planes hit the World Trade Center and then at 9:37 a.m. and 10:03 a.m. when the other two planes hit in Washington and Pennsylvania.
