As this year marks the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, the First Congregational Church of Camden is offering a special worship service, “In Remembrance.”

The service will feature a message offered by Rev. Kevin Pleas, a prayer and candlelighting ceremony, and the performance of a special handbell piece composed by Michael Helman, which was inspired by the events of that painful day. “Prayer for Peace” is a deeply moving and powerful composition, “Dedicated to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania on Sept.11, 2001.” In Helman’s words “My hope is that this composition my be a prayer for an end to terrorism and for peace throughout the world.”

The service will be held on Sunday morning, Sept. 11 at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome.
