U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe, R-Maine. recognized Brittany Dyer of Lincolnville, who interned for the office in Augusta over the summer.

“I thank Brittany for her extraordinary work for the people of Maine this summer,” said Snowe in a news release. “Time and again, Brittany went above and beyond what was asked of her and was truly an outstanding asset to me and my staff.”

Dyer graduated from Belfast Area High School in 2009 and is currently a junior at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. A political science major and general psychology minor, she is the daughter of Mary Ann Dyer and Henry Lang of Lincolnville.

Dyer assisted Snowe through numerous responsibilities, ranging from greeting constituents to handling various constituent requests.
