Resonance Arts and Camden Public Library will host a series of three films of Eckhart Tolle’s “Beneath the World Drama, There is Peace” talks Sundays, Sept. 11, 18 and 25, at 2 p.m. at the downtown library. Atlantic Avenue.

Six days after the attack on the World Trade Center in September 2001, author and teacher Tolle gave a retreat attended by 350 people at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, N.Y. In the talks filmed at this extraordinary retreat, Tolle speaks directly and indirectly to those critical events as well as addressing possible causes and the effects on the collective human psyche. A decade later, the talks are still deeply relevant and powerful.

Tolle is a spiritual teacher and author who was born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At age 29, a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of his life. He is the author of the No. 1 New York Times bestseller “The Power of Now” (translated into 33 languages) and the highly acclaimed followup “A New Earth,” which are widely regarded as two of the most influential spiritual books of our time.

The series is co-sponsored by Resonance Arts and the library. Admission is free.
