Downtown Gallery’s final show of the season, “Freefall,” will open Friday, Sept. 9 with a gathering and great food from 5 to 8 p.m.

“Freefall” features new original artwork from the gallery members in a variety of media and styles. Downtown Gallery members also excited to present, in the Paula Green Gallery, a show of 6-by-6 inch drawings that will be available to purchase throughout the remaining season. These drawings were inspired by the Maine Drawing Project, a statewide collaboration of museums and galleries offering exhibitions that focus on the process of drawing and how artists use it as a vehicle for creating diverse forms of visual expression.

These shows will run through Sunday, Oct. 2 at the Downtown Gallery, 2 Old Union Road in the village.
