Lush oil and watercolor landscapes by Geoff Bladon offer a tour of local beauty spots from Owls Head to Boothbay, including Tenants Harbor, Friendship and Waldoboro as seen in moments that span the four seasons. His show “Mainescapes” runs through Sept. 24, and the public is invited to an opening reception Saturday, Aug. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tidemark Gallery, 902 Main St./Route 220.

Bladon’s paintings may be seen Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Wednesdays through Saturdays after Labor Day. In addition, Tidemark offers a rich selection of paintings, prints, drawings, photography, jewelry, pottery, handpainted floor cloths and books by local artists, authors and illustrators.
