The Camden Police Department reported the following activity from Aug. 8 to Aug. 14.

Aug. 8

Officer Curt Andrick responded to Limerock Street for an animal problem. The dog was taken to the shelter.

Officer Andrick responded to Washington Street to assist a citizen with fingerprinting.

Officer Andrick responded to Limerock Street for a criminal mischief complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Officer Paul Spear responded to Main Street for a two-vehicle crash with no injuries.

Officer Spear responded to Chestnut Street for a suspicious person complaint. No violations were found.

Sgt. Patrick Polky responded to Atlantic Avenue for a trespassing complaint. The individual was warned for their actions.

Officer Spear responded to Chestnut Street for a theft complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Robert Messier, 28, of Camden was arrested on an outstanding warrant, possession of schedule drugs, and falsifying physical evidence and was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Aug. 9

Officer Spear responded to Elm Street with Camden First Aid for a medical call.

Officer Andrick responded to Howe Hill Road for a residential alarm.

Officer Andrick responded to Belfast Road for a residential alarm.

Lt. Michael Geary responded to Sea Street for a civil complaint. The situation was resolved.

Officer Spear responded to Chestnut Street for a theft complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Officer Spear responded to Elm Street for a business alarm.

Officer Spear responded to Eaton Avenue for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The individuals left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.

Officer Spear responded to Elm Street for a juvenile problem. The situation was resolved.

Aug. 10

Officer Allen Weaver responded to Atlantic Avenue for a residential alarm.

Officer Weaver responded to Pearl Street for a theft complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Officer Brook Hartshorn responded to Elm Street for a theft complaint.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Mountain Street for a burglary complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Mechanic Street to assist Camden First Aid with a medical call.

Juvenile male, 17, of Hope was issued a summons for theft.

Peter McLaughlin, 48, of Lincolnville was arrested for violation of conditions of release.

Aug. 11

Officer Weaver responded to Hope Road for a criminal mischief complaint.

Officer Weaver responded to Washington Street for an erratic vehicle complaint. The officer was not able to locate the vehicle.

Officer Weaver responded to Bay View Street for a theft complaint. The incident is under investigation.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Washington Street for a theft complaint. The items were located and a theft had not occurred.

Officer Cody Laite responded to Atlantic Avenue for a theft complaint. No violations were found.

Officer Laite responded to Belfast Road for an erratic vehicle complaint. The officer located the vehicle and no violations were found.

Miranda Struk-Miller, 20, of Rockland was arrested for operating under the influence and violation of conditions of release and issued a summons for illegal transportation of liquor by a minor.

Aug. 12

Officer Spear responded to Bay View Street for a disorderly person complaint. The individual left the area prior to the officer’s arrival.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Route 52 for a suspicious person complaint. The officer was not able to locate the individual.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Mt. Battie Street for a trespassing complaint. The individuals were warned for trespassing and were moved along.

Officer Hartshorn, Officer Laite, Officer Jeff Sukeforth and Sgt. John Tooley responded to Riverside Drive for an animal welfare complaint.

Officer Laite responded to Mechanic Street for a nuisance complaint. No violations were found.

Richard Helmke, 43, of Bernard was issued a summons for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Justin Bowen, 30, of Camden was issued a summons for cruelty to animals and failure to license a dog.

Sgt. Polky responded to Belfast Road with Camden First Aid for a medical call.

Sgt. Polky responded to Elm Street to investigate a 911 hang-up.

Sgt. Tooley responded to Mt. Battie Street for a trespassing complaint. The individuals were warned for trespassing and moved along.

Officer Hartshorn responded to Elm Street for a theft complaint. Kelly Hall, 27, of Rockland was arrested for theft.

Officer Laite and Sgt. Tooley responded to Belfast Road for a suspicious complaint. The officers spoke with the complainant and the situation was resolved.

Aug. 14

Officer Laite and Sgt. Tooley responded to Mechanic Street for an erratic vehicle complaint. Paul Kelley, 47, of Camden was arrested for eluding an officer and criminal speed and issued a summons for operating without a license and failure to provide proof of insurance.

Officer Laite responded to Sea Street for a trespassing complaint.

Officer Laite responded to Ames Terrace with Camden First Aid for a medical call.

Officer Spear responded to Maple Street for a citizen dispute. The officer spoke with the parties involved and they were advised of their options.

Officer Spear responded to Washington Street for an erratic vehicle complaint. The officer was not able to locate the vehicle.

Sgt. Tooley responded to Union Street for a well-being check. The individuals were located and further police assistance was not required.

Sgt. Tooley responded to Union Street for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The officer located the individuals and the situation was resolved.
