Artist Kathleen Fox will display watercolor paintings of fishermen, lobster boats and scenes of the St. George Peninsula at the Ocean View Grange, Route 131 between Tenants Harbor and Port Clyde.

Fox’s show, “The Way Life Should Be,” wwas scheduled to run Friday through Sunday, Aug. 26 through 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. There was an opening reception Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. However, due to Tropical Storm Irene, the show closed a day early.

The paintings on display celebrate the fishermen on the St. George peninsula and Monhegan and North Haven islands. This is the seventh year for Fox’s calendar identifying local lobstermen and fishermen and their boats by name and location. The 2012 calendar can be found in Midcoast stores, the Farnsworth Art Museum Shop, Huston-Tuttle and other outlets through Maine Authors Publishing in Rockland. Many paintings that appear in the 2012 calendar will be on sale in this show.
