The Waldoboro Police Department reported the following activity from July 25 through Aug. 6.

July 25

Officer Thomas Hoepner investigated an accident on Main Street at 9:03 a.m. Terry Burns, 62, of Norway was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck. Burns was southbound on Main Street and misjudged a curve. The vehicle went off the side of the roadway and rolled over. There were no injuries.

July 26

Chief William Labombarde is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of his medication from his vehicle.

July 27

Chief Labombarde and Officer Thomas Bartunek arrested Brandon Gresham, 18, of Warren for burglary (three counts), theft (three counts) and criminal mischief (three counts).

Chief Labombarde and Officer Bartunek arrested Zachary Cardilli, 19, of Warren for burglary (three counts), theft (three counts) and criminal mischief (three counts).

Officer Bartunek summoned Jeff Banker, 39, of Brownville Junction for an inspection violation and operating after suspension.

Officer Bartunek summoned Carrie Genthner, 35, of Waldoboro for operating after suspension.

July 28

Officer Sean Kozer investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway at 1:03 p.m. Arthur Kee, 50, of Waldoboro was driving a 2007 Ford utility vehicle. Patricia Austin, 60, of South Portland was driving a 2000 Volkswagen sedan, which was parked legally in a parking lot and was disabled. Kee backed into the Volkswagen. There were no injuries.

July 29

Officer Hoepner is investigating a report from a resident that sometime the previous night someone went through her yard with a vehicle damaging trees and lawn.

Officer Hoepner is investigating a report from a resident that someone stole his utility trailer.

July 31

Officer Jeremy Joslyn summoned Jeffory Fletcher, 21, of Bristol for criminal trespass.

Aug. 1

Officer Hoepner is investigating a report from a resident that someone damaged her mailbox and smashed bottles in her driveway.

Officer Hoepner investigated a late accident on Atlantic Highway at 9:02 a.m. that occurred July 26. Jeffery Page, 47, of Belfast was driving a 2010 Ford sedan. The vehicle was southbound on Atlantic Highway. The operator said a deer crossed the roadway in front of him. The driver could not avoid the animal.

Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated an accident on Old Route 1 at 4:02 p.m. Paul Legasse, 31, of Waldoboro was driving a 2000 Saab sedan. There were no injuries. Legasse was traveling east on Main Street, ran off the road and struck a culvert. The vehicle rolled over and landed in the ditch.

Officer Bartunek arrested Allison Armstrong, 62, of Biddeford for operating under the influence.

Aug. 3

Officer Michel Dutil investigated an accident on Washington Road at 1:52 a.m. Phillip Witham, 20, of Waldoboro was driving a 1992 Geo sport-utility vehicle. The subject complained of pain in his arm area. The vehicle was traveling north on Washington Road and ran off the road.

Officer Sean Kozer investigated an accident on Depot Street at 7:15 a.m. Nichole Brackett, 25, of Newcastle was driving a 2000 Volkswagen sedan. Brackett was traveling south on Depot Street, went off the road and struck a tree. Brackett complained of pain in the head area.

Detective Lance Mitchell arrested Deborah Winchenbach, 50, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Aug. 4

Officer Jeremy Joslyn arrested William Schnell, 20, of Connecticut for burglary and theft.

Detective Mitchell and Sgt. Jamie Wilson arrested Joshua Benner, 22, of Damariscotta on a warrant.

Aug. 5

Detective Mitchell is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of a ring valued at approximately $3,600.

Officer Kozer is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of an outboard tank from his boat.

Officer Kozer investigated an accident on Jackson Road at 6:12 p.m. Deven Dever, 19, of Waldoboro was driving a 1992 Suzuki utility vehicle. Dever was traveling north on Jackson Road. Dever said a white vehicle, unknown further, was approaching in his travel lane at a high rate of speed. Dever stated he lost control of his vehicle when avoiding the white vehicle. The Suzuki over-corrected twice as it rounded a curve and went off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle tipped onto its side. Dever complained of pain in the head area.

Officer Sean Kozer investigated a compliant from Airwaves of the theft of a cell phone.

Aug. 6

Officer Dutil arrested Anthony Winchenbach, 29, of Waldoboro on a warrant.

Officer Dutil investigated a report of the theft of firewood ($50 value) that was recovered.
