The Rockland Farmers’ Market returns to Harbor Park Thursday, Aug. 18 and also will return to a longstanding tradition of presenting live music. The market runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

In addition to such summer favorites as dinosaur kale, tomatoes, sausage, breads and fresh cheese, the Farmers’ Market will offer Midcoast-based Playin’ Possum and their unique mix of romping bluegrass, eclectic covers and folk standards. Rain date for the band’s appearance is Aug. 25.
