The Town of Warren and Ande’s Variety will present a concert for all ages Sunday, Aug. 21 between 3 and 5 p.m. at Woolen Mill Park, downtown on the banks of the St. George. The concert features Breakers Jazz, a Rockland-based ensemble. Admission is free.

Breakers Jazz, a companion group made up of members of the very popular wind and brass orchestra Bay Winds North, is celebrating a very successful second year as a performing group. Musicians practice and perform weekly, some members traveling more than 50 miles to play. The group’s presentations feature traditional and modern jazz numbers, medleys and novelty selections.

The concerts at the Woolen Mill Park are by local performers and audiences have grown consistently with each outing. Recent concert have featured the blues duet Two by Fo’, country performers Ronnie and Kay Anderson, Bob Randall and the Littlehale family and the string band Rusty Hinges. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring refreshments (no alcohol), blankets or lawn chairs and relax with a great jazz band down by the old mill stream.
