A new Parent-Child Morning Garden program will begin at Spindlewood in Lincolnville on Monday mornings beginning Sept. 19 with Elisa Olds as teacher.

Olds is a recent graduate of LifeWays Early Childhood and Human Development training. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from Hollins University with a focus on Special Education.

Spindlewood is now enrolling parents, grandparents and caregivers with children 1 to 3 years of age. Siblings under the age of 1 year are welcome free of charge. The program is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and offers creative and nurturing activities, circle time, story, warm snack and a morning walk on the woodland paths to visit the sheep and hens. The first semester will run through Dec. 12.
