The annual Belfast Harbor Fest will get a spirited kickoff Friday evening, Aug. 19 at Steamboat Landing as Marshall Wharf Brewing Co. hosts live music and launches a new brew. Steamboat Landing is on the city’s waterfront, at the foot of Commercial Street.

The gates to the rain-or-shine launch party tent will open at 6 p.m. The launch party will feature live music by The Wicked Good Band at 7 p.m. and the Fox Islands’ intrepid The Toughcats at 9 p.m. Also on hand will be food, eight beers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. Speaking of beers, David Carlson of Marshall Wharf Brewing Co. has brewed a special one for the event. Toughcats Imperial Pale Ale will debut at the launch party and also will be available for purchase. For more information, call 338-1707 or visit marshallwharf.com or toughcats.com.
