The whimsical bee drawings of Ian Pyper will be shown at Rougette Gallery starting Friday, Aug. 12. Pyper is an English artist and avid gardener concerned about the collapse of bee colonies. His love of gardening and nature inspired a playful series of drawings about bees.
Pyper’s art has been featured in the premiere outsider art periodical Raw Magazine and exhibited at Pallant House Gallery Museum in England. The show will run through Oct. 14 at Rougette Gallery, upstairs at 340 Main St. The gallery is open Fridays from noon to 5 p.m.; call 596-7979 for other hours. For more information, visit RougetteGallery.com.
