Pack 200 Cub Scouts have been very active this summer.

The boys recently attended day camps either at Camp Bomazeen on Great Pond in Belgrade or at Lake Pemaquid Campground in Damariscotta. The week-long day camps focused on building skills in BB guns, archery, swimming and boating. Scouts also learned to cook dough boys on an open fire.

Scouts who were not able to attend the day camp were able to take part in the Pack 200 Bike Rodeo held at Rockport Elementary School. Local police were on-hand to share safe biking habits. A skills course allowed the Cub Scouts to develop skills and practice safe biking habits. Another group of scouts went to the University of Maine at Orono for a day filled with activities including a low ropes course, a Planetarium Show and camping in the University forest.

An end of summer camp out is planned for the last weekend of summer. Boys entering first grade through fifth grade and their parents who are interested in Cub Scouting are welcome to join the Scouts camping.
