Dozens of families in the town of Lincolnville have donated to the Everything-Must-Go benefit sale to be held Saturday, Aug. 6, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is furniture and household items, tools, camping, fishing and sports equipment, books, CDs, collectibles, lightly used toys, Christmas items, and more.

It will be held rain or shine at the Center Community Building, 18 Searsmont Road (Rt. 173), just north of the intersection of Routes 52 and 235. Follow bright garage sale signs on white poster board once near the area. Parking is available on site.

There will be wall-to-wall tables full of items. Most are priced “pay what you think it’s worth” as a donation to the benefit. Larger furniture and collectibles and anything valued $5 or more may be marked.

The sale benefits the general fund of the United Christian Church and the Community Building. After the town built its school, the Community Building, built in the 1960s, reverted back the United Christian Church. This sale is to benefit the general fund of that historic church, which is a National Historic Landmark, and for the nearby building that is still available for town and private functions.

Tom Wilhem organized church members and people from the community, whom he thanks for their donations and volunteer efforts.
