The 64th Maine Lobster Festival opened Aug. 3 with Home Town Day, which meant free admission for everyone. The grounds were still reasonably quiet in late afternoon but as the day hit suppertime and final preparations for the Maine Sea Goddess Coronation, the crowd and excitement grew. The festival runs through Sunday, Aug. 7.
