The Knox County Democratic Committee will have its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at the Stella Maris House 148 Broadway in Rockland at the intersection with Route 1. Everyone is welcome to attend and to participate.

Guest Lucie Bauer of Rockport will make a brief presentation on Equality Maine’s upcoming Citizens’ Initiative petition drive.

The agenda includes reports on the KCDC role in the ongoing People’s Veto petition drive to address the legislation that repealed election-day voter registration and on the KCDC presence in the Lobster Festival Parade.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck supper and open discussion for those who wish to bring a salad, beverage or main dish to share. A microwave is available. The business meeting starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.
