The Medomak Valley Land Trust will host a paddle on the Meduncook River in Friendship, Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 4:30 p.m. All canoeists and kayakers are invited to paddle along a scenic stretch of the Meduncook River.

The trip will depart from Wadsworth Point in Friendship. To get there from Waldoboro, head south on 220 for 9.3 miles, then turn left onto Route 97/Main Street and follow for 2.1 miles, and then take a right onto Wadsworth Point Road. The trip will begin at the boat ramp at the end of the road.

Participants should provide their own boat and life preserver, and paddlers under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. This will be an intermediate level paddle and may not be suited for beginners.
