Individuals living with Parkinson’s disease, as well as their loved ones and caregivers, are invited to learn about the connections between creativity and well-being during the next meeting of the area’s Parkinson’s Disease Support Group, scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 2, in the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill.

During the meeting, educator and expressive arts practitioner Laura Jaquays will present “ArtHope: Recipe for Wellness,” a look at how anyone – even those who say they have no artistic talent or experience – can enhance their overall health simply by injecting a little creativity into everyday life.

The Parkinson’s Support Group meets regularly on the first Tuesday of each month, from 12 to 1:45 p.m. at Quarry Hill. Meetings are free and offer fellowship and learning to all those living with Parkinson’s disease as well as their loved ones and caregivers. Attendees are generally encouraged to bring bag lunches; Quarry Hill provides beverages and desserts.
