On Saturday, July 30 at 7 p.m., the Sail, Power and Steam Museum at Sharp’s Point South, 75 Mechanic St., will present a concert by Geoff Kaufman, who is most widely known for his music of the sea.

Kaufman sang for Op Sail ‘76 in New York City with a quartet named Stout and was 27 years at Mystic Seaport as a chanteyman, foreman of interpretive music programs, director of the annual Sea Music Festival and member of the quartet Forebitter. He also sings an environmental repertoire from his days with the sloop Clearwater on the Hudson River; songs of the spirit through his involvement with the Unitarian church; traditional songs from his native Catskill Mountains; and more.
