After a post-North Atlantic Blues Festival break, the Monday night blues series will return July 25 with the Rockin’ Jake Band. The music will run from 7 to 10 p.m. in the upstairs music room of Time Out Pub, 275 Main St. Admission is $10.

Based out of New Orleans since 1990, Rockin’ Jake relocated to St. Louis after being flooded out by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Rockin’ Jake has been hailed by many as one of the premier harmonica players in the country. His original sound is a hybrid of second line, swamp funk, blues and zydeco with influences from Paul Butterfield, Big Walter Horton, James Cotton, The Meters, WAR, J. Geils, Clifton Chenier and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Shows continue Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. to early December. For updated schedule, visit the Time Out Blues at northatlanticbluesfestival.com.
