Dana Moos, former innkeeper of the Kingsleigh Inn in Mount Desert Island and a member of the Maine Innkeeping Academy, will autograph her beautiful new Down East Books cookbook Friday, July 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Fiore Artisan Olive Oils and Vinegars, 503 Main St.

“The Art of Breakfast: How to Bring B&B Entertaining Home” shows anyone how to whip up a beautiful breakfast, whether cooking for out-of-state in-laws, running a B&B, or simply making a special meal for the family. From fresh fruit salads with a twist to cozy baked goods to savory egg dishes with Maine flair, “The Art of Breakfast” will have readers thinking outside the cereal box. It also is packed with priceless tips from an entertaining guru. In addition to a background in design and photography, Moos has immersed herself in the world of innkeeping, as a B&B owner, manager and chef, as well as real estate and marketing specialist to the hospitality industry.

Moos’ unique combination of talents has been the subject of several articles and she has been invited to judge culinary competitions in Maine. Currently chef and manager of the prestigious Pomegranate Inn in Portland, she both wrote and photographed “The Art of Breakfast,” her first book.
