The Thomaston High School Alumni Association held its tri-annual reunion at the Elks Lodge on Rankin Street in Rockland on June 25.
Pete Melgard and Mildred Melgard, who are organizers of the event, honored Woodrow Verge, a 1934 graduate, as the oldest graduate in attendance. Moody’s Diner presented “Woody” with a gift certificate. Woody visits Moody’s at least once a day and attributes the meals there to his longevity and good health.
Attending were over 200 alumni and guests and after the meal door prizes and a lobster raffle were distributed. The evening ended with the singing of the school song. The next reunion will be held in 2014. Anyone who is interested and is not already on the mailing list should notify Mildred Melgard at 845-3102.
