Waldoboro artist Roberta Goschke is among the artists selected to be in Paint for Preservation 2011, the fourth annual wet paint auction and reception benefit for the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust.

Participating artists were selected via a juried process by gallery owner Dennis Gleason; Goschke also was selected last year. Throughout Sunday, July 17, juried artists will paint on site at designated public and private locations chosen to highlight Cape Elizabeth’s natural beauty. The public is invited to watch participating artists work on location; a map of the painting locations will be available online at capelandtrust.org.

From 5 to 8 p.m., a live auction and catered cocktail reception will be held and the newly painted pieces will be sold at Ram Island Farm, which overlooks Ram and Richmond islands. Proceeds benefit the Cape Elizabeth Land Trust initiative, Saving Cape’s Great Places.

Limited tickets to the evening auction and reception are available for $50 in advance and $60 Sunday. Tickets are available at the CELT office at 330 Ocean House Road and online.
