The Knox County Democratic Committee will have its regular monthly meeting Tuesday, July 12 at the Stella Maris House, 148 Broadway in Rockland at the intersection with Route 1.
Everyone is welcome to attend and to discuss strategy for participation in the people’s veto of the same-day registration repeal legislation.
The agenda includes reports of KCDC presence during the Fourth of July celebration in Thomaston – in the parade, at a voter-registration and outreach booth, and at the fundraising food booth. Organizers will discuss plans for the Aug. 20 lobster bake and the Sept. 18 Farm Picnic, and the committee will solicit ideas and volunteers for additional fundraising events.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck supper and open discussion for those who wish to bring a beverage, salad or hot dish to share. A microwave is available. The business meeting starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.
Stella Maris is accessible to the handicapped and has ample on-site parking. For more information, call Chairman Bruce Hodsdon at 975-4600 or visit www.knoxmainedemocrats.org.
