The Samoset in Rockport has added a spa director to its team to wrap up its final piece of a $2 million renovation project.
Julie Slade has been appointed to the position. Prior to joining the Samoset, Slade owned Elegant Nails in Camden where she was the massage therapist, esthetician and also directly involved in the day-to-day operations and employee management. Slade obtained her massage therapist education from Downeast School of Massage in Waldoboro and her esthetics education from Capillo Institute in Augusta. She also holds a bachelor of arts from Wheaton College in Norton, Mass.
“The Spa at the Samoset offers a unique experience for its guests,” Slade said in a news release. “Whether you are here for a week, an overnight or live nearby we want you to leave relaxed and refreshed. Our staff is highly trained and dedicated to offering a spa experience which will exceed your expectations and bring you back again and again.
