Fourteen Midcoast chefs and caterers will contribute their time and outstanding culinary talents to the 2011 Merryspring Kitchen Tour on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

In each of the kitchens featured on the tour, a chef will be on hand to serve samples of his or her cuisine to guests. Here’s a chance to try the fare from some of the area’s newest restaurants and caterers, as well as many well-known favorites.

All proceeds from this popular summertime event benefit Merryspring Nature Center — its 66 acres of trails and gardens, and its year-round nature and environmental programs.
