Outdoor musical at St. George church

ST. GEORGE — The First Baptist Church of St. George at Wileys Corner will hold its second annual outdoor musical Sunday morning worship service Sunday, July 3 at 9:30 a.m. with Heaven’s Blend from Waldoboro.

Pastor Tom Rawley, his son Jacob and Pastor Gary Leet will share good southern gospel music along with patriotic songs to celebrate the nation’s independence. The church will display its large 18-by-12-foot flag on the front of the church. Bring a lawn chair, dress comfortable and help celebrate America’s birthday.

Thomaston Federated Church makes a joyful noise

THOMASTON — It is Jubilee month in July at the Thomaston Federated Church. Each Sunday evening at 7 p.m., the church will hold either inside or outside informal worship. The fun and frivolous worship will be led by Alice Billheimer and her patriotic hymn sing on Sunday, July 3. The Fabulous Federated Four will share country swing Sunday, July 10. Sunshine Fair

FRIENDSHIP — The Sunshine Fair sponsored by the Friendship United Methodist Women will be held Saturday, July 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Friendship. The Sunshine Fair will feature handcrafted toys and Christmas decorations, traditional hand-knit items, treasures, a boutique shop, plants and kitchenware, homemade baked goods and candy, and lobster rolls and chicken rolls.
