The Rockland Farmers’ Market enters July with a growing variety of opportunities. The next special event of the season is lined up for July 21, when the market hosts its annual spinning demonstrations.

Keep an eye out as one travels the state of Maine to see flocks of sheep grazing in their summer coats. Vendors will have their own local wool and yarn for sale, so shoppers can bring home the warm fuzzy feeling. Other forms of spinning are encouraged.

Of course, as the season progresses, there are mounting displays of vegetables and other products, so don’t wait to make one’s way to the Rockland Farmers’ Market.

The market is held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays, at Harbor Park in downtown Rockland. For more information, please visit rocklandfarmersmarket.org.
