Asymmetrick Arts, 405 Main St., will host an opening reception Friday, July 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for its July exhibition. Work from a dozen represented artists will be on display, and all are welcome to attend.
Asymmetrick Arts will use this reception as an opportunity to welcome three artists who are new to the gallery. Charles Wilder Oakes, a Port Clyde native, will be contributing his fantastic oil paintings, assemblage and mixed media work. Sally Dennison, a photographer originally from New York, recently relocated to Maine and will be exhibiting her current self-portrait work. Belfast resident Eric Leppanen will be displaying examples of his current paintings, which incorporate the use of found and upcycled paints and materials.
The show will run through July 29. Asymmetrick Arts is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 594-2020.
