New staff begin work at city hall

Two new city hall employees began work Monday, June 27.

Paula Schuessler began work as executive assistant to the city manager and city attorney. She has worked as an executive assistant at MBNA, Bank of America, and Ocean Energy Institute.

Also on Monday, Samantha Mank was introduced as the new director of public welfare. She and her husband, Gordon Mank Jr., operate the Hospitality House in Rockport.

Both women will succeed Brenda Harrington who serves in both positions and will be retiring this week. Harrington is working with the pair to orient them to the jobs.
