On Thursday, July 7 at 7 p.m., a Maine conservation biologist will talk about coyotes at the Personal Bookshop and Gallery, 144 Main St. in Thomaston.
Geri Vistein is a conservation biologist practicing here in Maine, and the focus of her work is “carnivores and us ~ re-creating relationships that have been lost to us.” She will be presenting an interactive and visual presentation, Coyote ~ America’s Songdog.
Individuals are invited to come along and learn of coyote’s long history on the North American continent: coyote’s relationship with Native peoples and the European Americans; coyote’s complex relationship with the life of Maine’s ecosystems; and coyote’s relationship with us. Free and open to the public.
