The Board of Directors of the Camden High School Alumni met on June 15 to discuss further plans for the Annual Alumni Banquet, which will be held on Aug. 13 at the Point Lookout Resort, Erickson Building at 57 Atlantic Highway. (Route 1) in Northport.

Lawrence Nash announced the winners of the CHS/ Francis Schipper Scholarship Fund. They are: Ann Fagan, McKenzie Meservey, Adam Landwehr and Kyle Laurita-Bonomette. The recipients of last year’s scholarship are invited, with one guest, to attend the banquet and give a brief statement summarizing their first year college experience.

The game “Heads/Tails” was such a success last year that it will be played twice this year. Leis will be available for $5, and the prize will be 10 bottles of wine per game. The proceeds from this event will go to the CHS/Frances Schipper Scholarship Fund.

Due to the huge success of the silent auction, that, too, will be held again this year. Anyone wishing to donate something of value may contact David Ames at damesref@tidewater.net, or call him at 789-5118. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

The price of tickets will be $30 per person, including gratuity. However, a series of drawings will take place during the evening which will give every attendee 10 chances to win back the price of the banquet ticket.

To obtain tickets, send a check for $30 per person, made payable to CHS Alumni Association, to Pat Ayers, 11 Colorado Ave., Camden, ME 04843. Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope so that Pat can mail the tickets. In order to keep files updated, please include the year of graduation on the check.

Please pass this information along to all CHS alumni. Let’s make sure that no one is left out.
