The Waldo Theatre will hold auditions for “Noises Off” Sunday, June 26 at 4:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 29 at 6:30 p.m. at theater, 916 Main St./Route 220. Auditioners are asked to come as close to the start time as possible and prepared to move by wearing comfortable clothes and shoes.
Called the funniest farce ever written, “Noises Off” presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called “Nothing’s On.” Doors slamming, on- and backstage intrigue and errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play. “Noises Off” was written by Michael Frayn and is produced in conjunction with Samuel French. Bill Coombs will direct this production, which will have performance over the weekends of Sept. 30 and Oct. 7.
Interested performers unable to make auditions are asked to call 832-6060 to make other arrangements.
