Vose Library in Union will host a Founder’s Day 5-Kilometer road race on Saturday, July 16 at 8 a.m. Race day registration opens at 7 a.m. at the Union Fairground.
The rolling 3.1-mile course takes participants, both runners and walkers, through the historic Union Common before returning to finish at the Union Fairgrounds.
Preregistration forms are available at the Union Town Office, Common Grounds, Vose Library, The Common Market or can be downloaded at vose.lib.me.us.
The registration fee is $15 on race day and $12 for early sign-up. All proceeds to benefit the Vose Library. The first 50 entrants will receive a free commemorative T-shirt.
