On Saturday, July 2 at 5 p.m., the office administrator of Rockland Congregational Church, Katie Deabler, is hosting a benefit dinner for funding of local community needs.
Rev. Seth D. Jones of Rockland Congregational Church has a discretionary fund that is used to help local people in need with food, clothing, housing, utilities, etc who cannot find assistance elsewhere. Assistance calls have been on the rise in the past few months, with the average number of calls to the church ranging from three to five per week.
The dinner will take place at Rockland Congregational Church, 180 Limerock St. The meal will consist of several casseroles, served buffet-style, along with tossed salad and dinner rolls. A dessert table will be available as well. The cost per meal is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12 years of age.
For questions, or to make a reservation, please call the church office at 594-8656.
