Waldoboro police are looking for a 2007 white GMC extended cab pickup truck that was reportedly stolen Sunday, June 26 from the Irving gas station on Route 1, according to the Waldoboro police chief.
A tan and white American Bulldog weighing 115 pounds that was in the stolen vehicle is also missing.
Chief Labombarde said a family was stopped by an officer on Friendship Street in Waldoboro village on Sunday afternoon. The officer was diverted to a medical call, and the officer told the family to stay with the vehicle on Friendship Street.
A short time later, the woman from that traffic stop was reportedly seen on Irving surveillance cameras taking the GMC truck that was at a gas pump, Labombarde said.
The investigation is ongoing, Labombarde said, and the suspects’ names and other details are not currently being released.
