Rockland Public Library is offering another “Library Game Night” Wednesday, June 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. Play a family favorite like Monopoly or Scrabble, or try a new game like Dominion & Bananagrams. Teen game experts from Belfast’s The Game Loft will be on hand to lead game sessions and answer questions.

The Game Loft will bring a 3D collector’s edition of Settlers of Catan , an award-winning game that emphasizes resource management. Other games include Dominion, Munchkin, Apples to Apples, and Magic: The Gathering. Bananagrams is a fast word game suitable for ages 7 on up.

This library event emphasizes non-electronic gaming.

“Face-to-face gaming gives all of us a chance to be together, to learn valuable social skills, and to enjoy each other’s company. Those who play social games regularly learn how to win graciously and lose gracefully. Learn something new or enjoy an old favorite, either way you will have a great evening with family or friends,” said Patricia Estabrook, co-director of The Game Loft, in a news release.

Snacks will be provided at this all-ages event. Event will be in Teen Room and the Board Room in the lower level of the library. The lower level entrance is located on the side of the library facing the staff parking lot. Rockland Public Library is located at 80 Union St. in Rockland.
