First-time mystery writer Spencer Seidel will read and sign his new murder mystery, “Dead of Wynter,” Thursday, June 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Owl & Turtle Bookshop, 32 Washington St. in the Knox Mill complex.
Murder mysteries are very popular in Maine, and Seidel’s debut novel contains all the best ingredients — descriptions of Maine towns, an alcoholic father, a psychotic cousin, a dysfunctional family, a snowmobile accident that may not have been an accident and a suicide that may have been murder.
