The first contra dance of summer is set for Saturday, June 25 starting at 8 p.m. at Simonton Corner Hall, corner of Park and Main streets.
Ted Steele, well-known on the dance circuit, will be the caller. Music will be provided by the talented pairing of Hope Hoffman of Bowdoinham on fiddle; and Putnam Smith of Portland on banjo and guitar.
Dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome, and no partner or experience is necessary. Admission is $8. Children are admitted free, and free snacks are provided. All dances are taught.
