Winding Way Watercolors Gallery, 6 North Main St., has begun showing the watercolors of Diana Maddocks. Maddocks in watercolor and acrylic; she also has done decorative painting and made stuffed toys and other crafts.

Maddocks is a longtime Midcoast resident who said her grandmother first taught her to paint when she was a child and instilled in her the love of art. She has taken classes with several local artists over the 31 years she has lived here and now shares that knowledge with others by teaching a class every week.

She has participated in the Rockland Art Market, the annual Aldermere Farm Show and Sale and will be showing some of her work this summer at the new art venture at Fresh Off the Farm. For two seasons, Maddocks has worked at Winding Way and said she is pleased to have been invited to show her work alongĀ  side the watercolors of Anne McMath and Kathy Lane.
