An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
Maine State Police responded to the following Midcoast calls from May 31 through June 1.
May 31
Trooper Scott Quintero stopped Justin Myrick, 24, of Warren for a defect. Upon further investigation, Myrick was determined to be driving on a suspended license. Myrick was arrested and transported to Knox County Jail, according to state police.
June 2
Trooper Quintero responded to Pleasant Point Road in Cushing for the report of a theft. The complainant reported that someone had entered her summer cottage and removed all of her copper piping. The investigation is ongoing.
June 4
Trooper Jeremiah Wesbrock and Knox County Deputies John Palmer and Nathaniel Jack responded to a fight in progress on McDonald Lane in Union. No one was injured and the case is being sent to the district attorney’s office for review.
